Our client is a locally owned and modern firm, operating in the Gladstone region, Southern Barrier Reef.  They are a leading manufacturer and supplier, specialising in the production of high tolerance equipment and machined components.

The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for an advanced machinist – an experienced program / operator to run CNC machines, including 5 axis.  The candidate will require comprehensive knowledge of CNC and will involve programming and operating of CNC’s to manufacture new, high tolerance components. Mastercam and Vericut experience necessary and great pride is taken to provide a product of the highest quality. The successful candidate must be a motivated high-performer with a team and a commitment to safe working practices and an emphasis on high quality production.

About You

  • Relevant Trade or Engineering Certificate e.g. Certificate III in Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CNC Machinist role, including 5 Axis experience
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to a high quality, safely, on time and on budget
  • Expertise with CNC calculating, computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software
  • High standard of housekeeping and maintenance
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude
