The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a CAM programmer – creating instructions for CNC to manufacture parts and components according to engineering specifications. This role involves using CAM software to generate toolpaths, select cutting tools and optimise machining processes.
The successful candidate will need to effectively read, interpret drawing specifications, 3D models to prepare and program and operate CNC machines to produce parts as per customer specifications.
About You
- Trade or Engineering qualifications
- Program and operate CNC Machines with knowledge of 5 Axis machines (at least 2 years’ experience)
- Experience in Mastercam, Solid Works and Veri Cut (intermediate to advanced)
- Producing high quality parts whilst maintaining production efficiencies and workplace safety
- High standard of housekeeping and maintenance
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
