As a key player in their operations, you’ll drive success by accurately forecasting project costs, enabling the team to plan and execute efficiently.
The Opportunity
As a Civil Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in shaping successful project outcomes. If you have a knack for analysing complex project requirements and developing precise cost estimates, this position is tailor-made for you!
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects
- Analysing project specifications, blueprints, and documentation to identify project needs
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing
- Identifying potential risks and recommending cost-effective solutions
- Managing and updating detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
- Negotiating terms with subcontractors and suppliers
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator or in a related role within construction or civil engineering
- Proficiency in estimation software
- Strong analytical, math, and technical skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
