Quality Coordinator

Job Description

Essential Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company compliance with Quality related International and Australian standards
  • Maintain Quality accreditations
  • Develop, maintain and improve Quality documentation including the McCosker Management System Manual (MSM) and associated procedures, forms and templates
  • Assist Management with the development and introduction of new Quality systems
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the Quality Management System
  • Train and educate the workforce on quality requirements, obligations and expectations
  • Liaise with clients regarding our Quality performance
  • Coordinate the audit schedule for Quality and OHSE
  • Ongoing development and improvement of audit work papers
  • Conduct internal quality audits for all business units including projects.  Report on findings.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Quality system management including the evaluation and audit of major suppliers and subcontractors
  • Represent the company during Quality assurance audits conducted by clients, external auditors, or regulatory agencies.
  • Manage non-conformances and review corrective / preventative action processes and reporting  
  • Assist Project staff with preparing project specific Quality plans and documentation
  • Coordinate the Management System review process including reporting on the effectiveness of the Quality system.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Prior Quality Assurance experience in a similar role preferably within the construction industry
  • Experience with developing and maintaining Quality systems
  • Sound knowledge of current versions of the AS/NZS ISO Standards including 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Experience with developing audit papers and conducting audits (auditing certification highly regarded but not essential)
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience with training and mentoring employees of all levels
  • Motivated and driven
